Miriam arrived in Budapest in 1941. She stayed at an illegal hahshara of “Habonim” (which later became “Dror Habonim”). She smuggled refugees, members of the youth movements and other Jews to Romania within the framework of the tiyul. Miriam acted under various false names. She was arrested but released. At the end of 1944 she arrived in Eretz Israel (Palestine). Miriam was one of the first members of Kibbutz “Ein Zetim”.
